UNO Library Federal Depository Library Program
Public Service Policy for the Electronic Federal Documents Collection

The University of New Orleans Library offers the public free access to our Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Electronic Collection. This collection includes tangible electronic products such as CD’s and DVD’s, and online federal government information This policy follows the same principle of free access that governs the use of traditional depository materials, as provided in Section 1911 of Title 44, United States Code.
  • All of the information products in our FDLP Electronic Collection are available to any library user free of fees or other restrictions, such as age or residency status. All of the computers in our reference area are available for public use. One computer located outside of the federal documents office on the third floor of the library is designated priority use by patrons researching government information.
  • Information can be saved to a floppy disk, burned to a CD or printed. Patrons must bring their own floppies or CD-Rs. There is a $0.10/page charge for printing.
  • If a product is not currently loaded and/or supported on our designated computers. We will make every effort to provide access within 2 business days.
