Children under the age of 12 must be both accompanied and supervised by a parent or adult at all times while in the UNO Library. Unattended children under the age of 12 may be asked to leave the library, or, at the discretion of UNO Library staff, the UNO Police Department may be called. Anyone, regardless of age, who engages in inappropriate activities or disruptive behavior, or fails to comply with the UNO Library's staff directives, will be asked to leave.
While students between the ages of 12 to 18 years do not have to be accompanied by a parent or adult, parents or guardians are ultimately responsible for the use of library resources, including internet usage through library computer resources by individuals under the age of eighteen. All library users are expected to abide by all library user conduct and security policies, including the policies on the use of public access computers (http://library.uno.edu/aboutus/policies/pubpcs.cfm).
Unaccompanied children under the age of 12 may request assistance in using the Federal Depository Collection at the Library's reference desk in the Learning Commons.
