2. Books

  • Online Catalog iLink
    http://uno.louislibraries.org/uhtbin/webcat
    The library implemented a new library catalog, iLink, as part of a statewide move to a new integrated library management system in January 2002. The new system developed by SIRSI Corporation provides enhanced search and retrieval of books, e-books, journals, e-journals, and federal documents at one time. "My Account" feature allows the user to check the circulation information, and "Knowledge Portal" and "I Need Material" link to indexes and databases, interlibrary loan, email reference, and other helpful pages.
  • Statewide Borrowing
    You have borrowing privileges at universities and colleges throughout the state of Louisiana with LALINC (Louisiana Academic Library Information Network Consortium) reciprocal borrower's card. Local academic libraries like Loyola, Xavier, LSU Health Science Center, and Dillard are included. Note that the Business Library, Law Library and Medical Library of the Tulane University are not part of LALINC. You can obtain a LALINC card at the library circulation desk.

  • Business Source Complete (EBSCO) UNO
    Provides full text for nearly 3,300 scholarly business journals, including full text for more than 1000 peer-reviewed business publications. Coverage includes virtually all subject areas related to business. This database provides full text (PDF) for more than 300 of the top scholarly journals dating as far back as 1922

  • Lexis-Nexis Academic UNO
    Provides full text information from news, business, legal, medical, and reference sources. News section includes business news, legal news, university news, etc. Local newspapers like Times-Picayune and Baton Rouge's the Advocate are indexed full text. Business section includes company financials, SEC filings and reports, industry and market news, and accounting articles. Case laws, codes & regulations, international legal materials, patent research sources, and career information are provided in Legal section.

    Provides full text financial information on over 10,000 U.S. public companies and 17,000 non-U.S. public companies

    Provides access to the full text of federal, state and financial and estate information, including tax laws, regulations, and cases

  • EconLit (1969 - present) UNO
    Provides citations for dissertations and articles in more than 620 collective volumes per year
  • Business Dateline UNO
    Includes information about regional business activities and trends and major stories on local firms, their products, and executives
  • Business and Industry UNO
    Contains important facts, figures and key events for international public and private companies, industries, products, and markets for manufacturing and service industries; Covers all the primary business information sources--from leading trade magazines, newsletters, and the general business press to international business dailies

    Contains articles about practical aspects of business management from over 795 sources including case studies and how-to articles

5. Remote Access

  • Proxy Server (Off Campus Access)
    If you have Internet Service Provider other than the University you will need to authenticate your access through the UNO Library EZProxy server. Login using your UNO ID which is your 7-digit UNO ID + "00" (without + or quotes) and password. To get your PIN, click on "I forgot My PIN" from the "My Library Record" feature in the Library Catalog (ilink). Enter your UNO ID +00 to request that your PIN be sent to your UNO email address.
