Louisiana Collection

The Louisiana Collection, on the fourth floor of the library, has a variety of current and historical resources to assist you with your research. Its Vertical File acts as a supplement to the Bayou State Periodicals Index, and includes a company index as well as a subject index.

The Reference Collection in the Louisiana Collection includes regional directories such as the Regional Dun and Bradstreet, Louisiana Manufacturers, Louisiana Business Directory, City Directories (these are also available in the Multimedia Collection on microfilm), a Regional Thomas Directory, and the City Business Book of Lists.

The Collection houses state documents and indexes to these. You can locate statistics, state regulations, real estate transactions for the metro area, real estate market analyses, flood maps, voting information, treasury and bond information, budgets, etc.

Special reports are also available. There is the Metropolitan Report, produced by the Division of Business and Economic Research at UNO which includes economic indicators and forecasts. The collection also includes reports of state divisions, such as the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
