    Replaced the U.S. Standard Industry Classification (SIC) system. This is the new standard code system to describe business establishments and industries jointly developed by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Changes are on going. Can download both 1997 version and 2002 version of NAICS codes. Correspondance table for SIC codes and NAICS codes also available. Use the code to search industry specific information in the electronic resources
