             3. AVEL (Australasian Engineering Virtual Library)
http://avel.library.uq.edu.au
The Australasian Engineering Virtual Library is a very well designed site and has concentrated mostly on Australasian engineering.  However, AVEL is recommneded because there is much to learn in terms of their superb design and navigation and their excellent coverage of Australasian sources.

Using Dublin Core records, AVEL links to websites, Australian digital theses, jobs, conferences, full-text papers, and an online bookshop.   Developing partners include the Universities of Queensland, Melbourne, New South Wales, Monash University, Queensland University of Technology, Institution of Engineers, Australia Distributed Systems Technology Centre, and the Centre for Mining Technology and Equipment.
