BUBL is a catalog of resources based on the Dewey Decimal system
of classification, and uses subject terms originally based on
Library of Congress (LC) subject headings, which have been customized
to suit the content of the service. One of the unique services
that BUBL offers is its large number of search possibilities,
which include LC subject, keyword, Dewey class, country, type,
and random. The aim is to provide access to key resources
for each subject. Every resource in the catalog is annotaed,
with the last date on which the resources was checked.
BUBL has over 12,000 resources, 320 of which are engineering related.
The entire collection is verified using link-checking software
each month, combined with a program of manual updating, to ensure
that the links are valid.
