Consisting of several virtual libraries, the INFOMINE system is
supported by 20 bibliographers and reference librarians at several
campuses of the University of California and California State
University systems, plus other colleges and universities.
Selectors use the Library of Congress subject headings and other
keywords to catalog the resources, and the search results include
a nice link to "terms leading to related sources." Search
tips are prominent, and the site contains an explaination to their
subject organization and indexing terminology, as well as instructions
on how to classify the INFOMINE resources (INFOMINE, 1996).
Contributors are instructed to use full sentences in their annotations,
which make entries a bit easier to read than sites using brief
phrases, such as Yahoo and Google.
