There
are a number of Geography texts that can be found in the NetLibrary,
but here are a few that are freely available off of the Internet.
Remember, in order to establish your NetLibrary account, you must use an
on-campus computer when you register. If you have any questions about
creating your account just ask one of the Library's Reference Staff or send
me an E-mail.

- Atlas
of United States Mortality by Linda Williams Pickle, Michael Mungiole,
Gretchen K. Jones, and Andrew A. White
Released to the public on April 14,1997, this atlas is the first to
show all leading causes of death by race and sex for small U.S. geographic
areas referred to as Health Service Areas (HSA's). The 18 causes of
death included in this atlas account for 83 percent of all deaths
in the United States during 1988-92.
Wonderful color maps in PDF format. This
is not a E-book, but a Reference Resource. It is included here
because of interest.
- CIA
World Factbook by The Central Intelligence Agency
Again, this is more of a Reference Resource than an E-book; however,
I felt is was worth mentioning here as well. It is an interesting
collection of facts to thumb through.

it was worth mentioning in this list as well. The dictionary includes
definitions for 980 terms compiled from a variety of sources which either
relate directly to GIS or which GIS users may come across in the course
of their work. The dictionary is also supplemented by 52 diagrams.
