      Guide to American Law Supplement (KF156 .G772 REFERENCE, 1987, 1990, 1992, 1995)
      Topical access to American law. Contains 10 topic volumes, 1 appendix volume and 1 index volume. The appendix volume includes legal forms such as a petition for Certiorari, Letter of Credit and Annulment Decree. It also includes legal documents such as the Magna Carte, the Codes of Legal Ethics and the Time Line of American Legal History. The set is updated with occasional supplements.

      Comprehensive coverage of American law at state and federal levels with annotations that include references to court cases.

      Full-text articles from over 500 legal journals.

Supreme Court

  • Supreme Court Reporter (KF101 .A322 REFERENCE)
    Contains every decision of the Supreme Court of the United States beginning with U.S. 106 (1882). Previous to 1882 volumes were named for the official court reporters such as Cranch and Wallace. These volumes were published in a set called United States Supreme Court Reports (not owned by UNO Library) which covers U.S. 1 to U.S. 105. The library discontinued receiving the print version of this title in 2003. Please use Lexis Nexis Academic Legal Research to access Supreme Court Decisions.
  • United States Reports (JU 6.8/A: FEDDOC REFERENCE) - The official bound volumes of supreme court opinions.
  • United States Supreme Court Digest (KF101.1 .U55 REFERENCE)
    Contains a 4 volume descriptive word index, a table of cases and a plaintiff-defendant table of cases.

U.S. Court of Appeals

  • Federal Reporters (KF105.F432 REFERENCE)
    Contains decisions on the U.S. Court of Appeals. Also includes a list of judges by district, a table of cases reported, a table of cases arranged by circuit, a table of cases related to statutes construed, a tableo fo cases related to rules construed, a table of cases related to federal sentencing guidelines, a "words and phrases" section, occasionally a memorial to a deceased judge and the text of opinions. Not all cases are reported.
    The print subscription was discontinued in 2003. Please use Lexis Nexis Academic Legal Research to access Federal Reporter cases.

U.S. District Courts

  • Federal Supplement (KF 120.F42 REFERENCE)Contains decisions from the following courts: U.S. District Courts, U.S. Court of International Trade, Special Court for the Regional Rail Reorganization Act and Rulings of the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. Includes the same lists and tables as the Federal Reporters. Not all cases are reported. The print subscription was discontinued in 2003.   • Southern Reporter (KF 135.S8S612 REFERENCE)
    Contains cases from Louisiana and other states in the region. Currently 4 states are included: Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.The print subscription was discontinued in 2003. Please use Lexis Nexis AcademicLegal Research to access cases included in the Southern Reporter.

Listing of opinions in which a justice wrote an opinion. These are arranged by type of opinion, concurring, dissenting, etc.

Contains essays relating to major legal questions.
