    Contains the entire text of the United States Code in addition to federal and state constructions of the Constitution and statutes. This set includes Popular Name Acts Tables and a General Index to assist in locating information. The General Index lists all legislation, including all amendments to a law. Annotations provide additional information such as court cases and legislative histories. The U.S. Code can be accessed electronically via Lexis Nexis Legal Research or the Legal Information Institute of the Cornell Law School.
  • American Jurisprudence (KF154 .A422 REFERENCE *note only latest edition retained)
    Provides comprehensive coverage of American law at the federal and state level with annotations and references to laws and court cases.

Bills and Pending Legislation

  • THOMAS - Bills from the current congress back to the 93rd congress (1973-1975)
  • GPO Access - Bills from the current congress back to 1993.
  • CQ Weekly Report (JK1 .C15 REFERENCE - Current issues in Current Periodicals)
    Provides summaries of congressional action and developments. This is an important resource to look for information on a pending bill. It also provides special supplements on major issues and during election years will have the Republican and Democratic parties' platforms.
  • CQ Almanac (JK1 .C66 Latest 3 issues in REFERENCE)
    An annual summary of the year in Congress. Useful when searching for information from previous years. Current year information is in the CQ Weekly Report.
