Members of the faculty of the University of New Orleans are noted for their contributions to scholarship, including textbooks and best-selling works of fiction and non-fiction. To increase recognition of their achievements, the Earl K. Long Library has established the UNO Faculty Authors Collections. Housed in the Louisiana and Special Collections Department on the fourth floor of the Long Library, the collection will be expanded actively to include both current and retrospective works. UNO faculty authors are encouraged to submit published monographs, book chapters, and journal articles. In addition, the library will establish an online database containing citations to faculty publications, whether or not owned by the library.
