Information Service (CIS).
This publication provides brief abstracts of Congressional publications
such as committee hearings, House and Senate documents and reports,
and treat documents. It appears monthly with quarterly index cumulations,
an annual cumulation, and some cumulative indexes for groups of
years. The annual cumuation is in three parts:
Index volume offers access by name (including witnesses at hearings
and committee chairpersons), subject, bill, report, document,
and SuDoc numbers. Gives abstract number for more detailed information.
Abstract volume summarizes the bill or document, gives SuDoc number,
and identifies the Congress and session.
Legislative History volume lists public laws in numerical order
with summaries of the legislative action on them and citations
to hearings and other relevant documents.

Issued daily during sessions of Congress; revised and issued in
bound form at the end of each session. Contains Congressional
speeches, debates, and voting records. Does not include the full
text of bills.
The index is in two parts: (1) an alphabetical list of names and
subjects which identifies bill and bill number; (2) numerical
list of bills, which gives detailed information on the history
of the bill as well as page references to material in the Congressional
Record.

of Congressional Voting Scores and Interest Group Ratings.
For individual congressional representatives and senators, from
the 80th Congress (1947) to the present, gives voting scores,
which are generated by Congressional Quarterly, on these issues:
conservative coalition, party unity, presidential support, and
voting participation; as well as interest group ratings by ten
major interest groups.

legislation is available on the World Wide Web. It is fairly easy
to use and does provide full text of bills. Congressional Record

by state, county, and ward. Covers presidential, gubernatorial,
