Laptops and netbooks are available for short term checkout from the Library's Circulation Desk. This equipment is available to currently enrolled students only. Both graduates and undergraduates may check out laptops and netbooks.

EQUIPMENT:

• 19 Laptops
• 3 Netbooks

SOFTWARE:

• Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Firefox web browser

Students are allowed to install software on Library laptops. Please note that the Library uses DeepFreeze software which erases all software and files from the laptop/netbook when the device is shutdown or loses power.

CHECKOUT PERIODS:

• 3 hours
• 3 days
• Laptops and netbooks must be turned in when due, a 3 hour renewal is allowed if others aren't waiting to check out the returned equipment.

OVERDUE FINES:

• 3 hour checkout: $10 per hour
• 3 day checkout: $50 per day

RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT:

Students are financially responsible for any and all equipment checked out, including the full repolacemnt costs of the netbook or laptop, and any of its accessories that are lost, stolen, or damaged.

• Replacement costs:
• Laptop: $1,100
• Netbook: $700
• Carrying case: $25
• External mouse: $10
• There is an additional $15 processing fee for any lost items.
• Overdue charges will be added to any replacement costs incurred.
