Original manuscript on paper, of the
territory of La Malmaison belonging to Citoyen Le Couteulx Du Moley and ceded by him to
Josephine on the 2nd of Floreal 1799. Each laef is initialled by Le Couteulx Du Moley and by Josephine
Bonaparte with her initials L.B. (Lapagerie
Bonaparte). In addition on the last page
are the signatures of both in full G.S. Le Coureulx
Le Couteulx and below, Tascher
Lapagerie Bonaparte.
4to., 12 leaves. Bound in red roan by Napoleon's binder and
ornamented with Napolean's arms.
On the title-page is a manuscript note
of the period 'fait expedierle
